ThruScan dX-X® is a portable handheld metal detector developed for effective upper-body screening in security operations. It can detect ferromagnetic, paramagnetic, and diamagnetic metals, making it suitable for identifying concealed metal objects such as knives and firearms during inspections. The device includes auto-calibration, meaning it automatically adjusts to the environment at startup for stable performance. It uses certified, low-frequency VLF technology designed to be human-friendly. When no metal object is present, it does not alarm on the human body.
For clear feedback, ThruScan dX-X® provides audible alarm (with optional earphone/vibration) and a 5-level visual VU-meter indicator. Sensitivity can be adjusted via touch buttons from level 1 (lowest) to level 5 (highest).
Battery control is also built in: the detector performs a battery voltage test at power-on and displays the level on the VU-meter. If the battery drops below usable limits, it provides audible and visual warnings.
Important note: The 9V rechargeable battery is optional and not included in the price. The device is sold with a charger, and additional chargers or batteries can be selected as optional items.
