Passage speed depends on sensitivity and whether alarms occur. In real screening conditions, effective and applicable operation is typically around 10–15 people per minute, while higher numbers are generally only possible when alarms are minimized and sensitivity is set for larger objects.

Operator checklist (simple and effective)

• After powering on, wait 15 seconds, then run a short test procedure (about 5 minutes) using test samples.

• Ask visitors to remove metal items from pockets, and remove outerwear (coat/jacket) when required.

• If the system alarms, perform a detailed check with a handheld detector for potential threats (knife, firearm, sharp objects, etc.).

Health & compliance notes

Walk-through security screening systems operate with a very low magnetic field; according to our documentation, they are suitable for use by pregnant individuals and people with pacemakers. Relevant standards include ECAC – Standard 2 (Doc 30) and NIJ-0601.02 / NIJ-0601.03.
